Burana Tower, Chui
The Burana Tower, located near Tokmok in the Chui Valley, is a historical monument dating back to the 9th century. It is one of the few remaining structures from the ancient city of Balasagun, a key Silk Road settlement. Standing 25 meters tall, the tower was originally a minaret and now offers panoramic views of the surrounding valley from its top. The site also features ancient petroglyphs, stone balbals (gravestones), and a small museum showcasing the region's history. The Burana Tower is an essential stop for history enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into Kyrgyzstan's rich past.
